Emma: This is a stressful time for everyone so try not to worry.  Babies are generally very resilient and are likely to be more focused on the food you’re offering.  However, they can be sensitive to others’ moods so try during feeding sessions to really try and focus just on the task in hand.
If you can, be as positive as possible about the food.  Eat some too, if you like, so that your child can see you eating.  Children learn a lot by copying.  If your little one doesn’t like a food, try not to worry.  Move on to different food and try that refused food another time.  It can take a while for children to learn to like news tastes and textures, so just gently offer foods without any pressure for him to eat them all.

Try and create a relaxed atmosphere for both of you, babies will eat when they are hungry.
